Application Delivery Manager SAP SCM

The Application Delivery Manager for Supply Chain and Procurement, reporting to the Director of EAM, Engineering and EHS in the SAP CoE will lead a team of 6 IT professionals responsible for building and supporting our CPKC Supply Chain and Procurement applications in SAP ECC, S/4HANA and SAP Ariba. The Application Delivery Manager is accountable to drive projects to improve current applications, and lead implementation of the latest technologies in the SAP space to help business achieve performance targets.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • Lead the Supply Chain and Procurement technology roadmap by working with Information Systems (IS) team, Enterprise Architecture, Business Transformation Partners, and Business stakeholders
  • Manage and develop IS Team Leads, Functional Analysts, System Specialists, and Developers to support their application portfolio within ServiceNow, including cross-training and knowledgebase. In addition, ensure on-time and on-budget projects delivery using IS PMO  tools
  • Execute administration activities such as cost and planning estimates, status reports, and resource plans. Ability to manage multiple work streams and balance competing demands for scope, time, cost, quality, risk and resources
  • Deliver Application Service Requests and enhancements to support the business needs for the application bundles ensuring key deliverables are completed such as requirements gathering, design reviews and solution walkthroughs, build phase, testing phases, change management, and implementation processes using the defined tools such as SAP Solution Manager, JIRA and Q-test
  • Liaise with various IS teams and business application owners for incidents and net new projects related to Supply Chain and Procurement
  • Manage on-call schedule and rotation. Availability for escalations concerning high priority EAM incidents raised outside office hours (24x7 support)
  • Manage compliance with SAP Security (GRC), SOX, internal controls, audit and legal requirements
  • Drive accountability to build a high performing team
  • Stakeholder management to maintain a priority list of pending items
  • Provide outlook for replacement or decommissioning of applications at risk of being on black technology

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science or Technical Discipline Required
  • 10+ years’ relevant experience in SAP Project Implementation and Support
  • 5 years of experience of managing IT Project/Support teams with increasing degrees of responsibilities and stakeholder management
  • Extensive experience in the Source-to-Pay area (SAP Materials Management, Inventory Management, Ariba Sourcing, Supplier Lifecycle Performance, Supplier Enablement, Contracts, Buying & Invoicing, Catalog Management, Invoice Management, ECC or S/4 integration)
  • Prior hands-on configuration, implementation and support experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA and SAP Ariba as Customer Administrator preferred
  • Good understanding of SAP modules that integrate with Supply Chain and Procurement (PM, PP, QM, FICO, HR, Basis and Security)
  • Understanding of technology-driven product development processes and methodologies for effective delivery and support;
  • High degree of analytical skills;
  • Existing knowledge of supported tools/services and/or high degree of technical aptitude;
  • Fundamental knowledge of railway operations and processes an asset.

Management Conductor Program:
