Functional Analyst SAP Time

With over 150 SAP professionals, we are one of North America’s largest SAP hubs offering you the opportunity to drive excellence and build a culture of innovation. The Specialist Functional Analyst is accountable for gathering, understanding and documenting business processes, and the requirements and specifications needed to recommend and implement a SAP HCM solution that will enable the organization to achieve its goals.

The Specialist Functional Analyst will need to have SAP functional analysis experience in HCM to cover Time (PT), Personal Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Payroll (PY) and Benefits (BN).

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Create and execute a work plan for business analysis activities in the areas of SAP Time/Payroll/Benefits
  • Coordinate diverse groups who contribute to business requirements and build consensus for requirements across the various user groups
  • Perform requirements analysis to develop models, prioritize, organize, validate and verify requirements
  • Complete application service requests, provide continual business application support, research transactional issues, identify root causes as well as assist with upgrade and maintenance of applications
  • Communicate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems to technical teams designing and implementing the solution. Assist with creating user guides and training
  • Support the development of the test strategy and test plans. Ensure traceability of requirements back to business need as well as through to solution and testing. Validate the solution meets the business need and verify it conforms to specifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, Commerce/Business Administration or relevant practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience working on SAP Time module
  • Good understanding of SAP module(s) and the integration between various modules
  • 3+ years of practical experience with using a wide variety of techniques to elicit requirements (i.e. Research, Verbal protocols, Focus groups, Brainstorming, Interviews, Questionnaires, Prototyping, etc.) and in using a variety of models/diagrams/documents to capture, document and interpret requirements
  • Good understanding of SAP Payroll and Benefits is an asset
  • Fundamental knowledge of railway operations and processes an asset

Management Conductor Program:

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
