POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop applications using existing and emerging technology platforms
• Design and code application programs; create test transaction and run tests
• Conduct analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems
• Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system
• Ensure the operating efficiency of existing application systems
• Maintain records for the documentation of systems development and revisions
• Development Standards for SAP Custom Code to be used in design and development
• Develop Code in ABAP, ABAP OO, Workflow, SQL, IDOC, BAPI, HR Forms and SmartForms
• Well versed with defining authorization roles
• Create detailed technical design documentation, code review, test process on standard and custom objects
• Support ABAP code base in SAP ECC and S4
• Proactively manages environment and help ensure unplanned outages are reduced/or eliminated by helping provide root cause for issues
• Rotational On Call support will be required for this position

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years’ of experience of ABAP Development within SAP HCM
• 2+ years of experience in unit testing, quality analysis and thorough knowledge of integration testing
• Experience in requirements analysis and design of technical solutions ranging in scope and size including experience with documenting the technical design of SAP Custom Code
• Competent at creating development effort estimates using inputs from Functional team and then managing the RICEFW
• Ability to adjust to changing priorities; managing and communicating interdepartmental and management expectations
• Experience working on implementations with a Mexico component is an asset
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is an asset

Management Conductor Program:

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
