PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering the overall project and its deliverables by acting as the customer’s single point of contact for the project, controlling the planning and executing project activities and resources to ensure the established scope, budget, time and quality goals are met.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Direct accountability for managing the delivery of the project as defined in the project statement;
  • Accountable for project performance (on time, within scope, on budget, and meeting quality standards);
  • Develop, monitor and control all aspects of project delivery in accordance with CP IS PMO and PM best practices for: Integration Management, Scope Management, Time Management, Cost Management, Quality Management, Human Resource Management, Communications Management, Risk/Issue Management and Procurement Management;
  • Create and maintain project financials across project cost budget, SAP and appropriate accruals submission;
  • Adheres to IS PMO processes deliverables, stage gates, and control processes in accordance with SOX compliance;
  • Identify of internal/external stakeholders and expectation management throughout project life cycle;
  • Provide project leadership by ensuring there are clear goals, motivating team members, resolving conflict and demonstrating appreciation for team member’s contributions;
  • Identify resource requirements, set expectations, and evaluate assignment performance.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree or equivalent in Commerce/Business Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science;
  • 10+ years of experience leading large, multi-stakeholder IS projects;
  • Experience with managing the implementation and upgrade of SAP landscapes including Hana 2.0 and major platform migration;
  • Experience leading large SAP package implementation projects ($5M+ project budget);
  • Good understanding of ASAP and/or Agile methodology;
  • Project Management Professional certificate (PMP);
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and IS Project delivery methodologies;
  • Advanced project management practical expertise across knowledge areas: scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communication, risk and procurement and integration management;
  • Advanced knowledge of project management planning tools: MS Project;
  • Comfortable with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members with different cultural values and level of experience;
  • Proficient in system integration work with a demonstrated history of delivering SAP projects in a highly integrated IT landscape;
  • Demonstrate capability in leading, conflict resolution and prioritizing tasks;
  • Ability to communicate and influence decision making at executive and working levels.
