PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As a Coordinator Project Facilities CAD, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining all facilities drawing to various entities and subsidiaries for CP for the assigned region.  You will develop and deliver the overall design of the project, maintain and track changes to building design, and ensure Evacuation plans and Emergency Response Procedures are updated when necessary.

 

 POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Strong technical aptitude with attention to detail, sense of urgency, highly organized, and experience creating Building Floor plans and 3D – renderings;
  • Ability to translate engineering sketches and mark up into properly documented drawings;
  • Design floor plans to fit equipment and workstation in existing floor space in accordance with corporate standard, applicable building codes and project scope;
  • Provide measurements, dimensions and create a Bill of Material (BOM) list for assigned projects;
  • Coordinate with project managers to obtain technical details, optimize designs, and resolve issues;
  • Translate concepts, hand sketches & specifications into working plans for the facilities managers;
  • Interpret and read drawings and check for code compliance;
  • Oversee all assigned facilities construction project from conception to delivery;
  • Develop and maintain facilities emergency response procedures and building evacuation plans;
  • Prepare and maintain facilities standard construction guides documents;
  • Ensure that CP safety requirements are adhered to on all sites.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Architecture or related field;
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, Revit and AutoCAD);
  • Experience with creating floor plans and renderings;
  • Proven design, production, administration and contract skills;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills;
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of management within the Company.

Management Conductor Program:
