As the Director - Innovation Programs, this role will be responsible for driving the multi-year plan for Information system Portfolio, as well as managing a team of senior managers and managers in planning and executing business transformation and innovation lab projects. Partnership with our IS Program teams. This position reports to the AVP, Innovation and Business Transformation.   The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning business strategy, technology evolution roadmaps, and IS capital planning to unlock the organization’s full potential and business value. The successful candidate will collaborate with IS Governance and will govern the delivery of the projects to ensure the right business benefits, cost estimates and timelines are met.



  • Define, implement and communicate Portfolio planning & management processes to enable work streams to deliver against defined goals and outcomes;
  • Enable effective communication and working relationships within innovation & business transformation, closely working with MD – Enterprise Architecture and MD – Business Transformation and partner teams– primary liaison to Information services and CP Finance Portfolio and Business Value teams as well as key strategic initiative partners;
  • Identify and manage priority, risks, changes, issues and scope. Facilitate mitigation through relevant stakeholders and governance processes;
  • Define, implement and monitor metrics and KPIs to report Portfolio status and ensure ongoing strategic alignment with short and long-term business objectives;
  • Actively drive Innovation and Business Transformation monthly and quarterly business reviews;
  • Establish and mature best practices and standardized frameworks, tools and operational processes related to Portfolio management;
  • Manage project budgets, capacity and scope; will conduct resource planning for risks that are proactively identified for business projects and innovation lab;
  • Work closely with Information Services Delivery Leadership to manage CP transformation vision, roadmap and related portfolio to ensure priority alignment and execution;
  • Assign Sr Project Managers, Projects managers for Business Transformation projects, innovation council and innovation lab initiatives. Accountable for inputs into IS Governance and Steering committee for all business projects managed by business projects office that are influenced by IT initiatives;
  • Acquire/Develop CL leadership for self and the team.



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or related field;
  • 10 years’ or more experience leading and managing large-scale agile portfolios/programs; should include comprehensive experience as a business/process leader or as a leader in a functional role;
  • Demonstrated success in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others; cross-functional collaboration and program execution; Demonstration of strong influencing skills;
  • Deep understanding of application and execution of portfolio metrics and KPI’s;
  • Need to demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing large, complex programs in a results-driven environment, and accountability of deadlines and value propositions;
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills. Proven presentation and facilitation skills;
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments;
  • Self-starter with high motivation and passion who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to change;
  • Strong leadership, confidence, and influencing skills. High level of executive presence;
  • Strong understanding of Agile driven development, and a bias towards action;
  • Strong Collaboration and Communication Mindset;
  • Can Do Attitude and interest in leading team maturity, high emotional intelligence.
