PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Step into the dynamic role of Junior Instructional Designer, where your creativity and technical skills help shape the future of learning. You’ll be at the forefront of designing compelling interactive courses, collaborating with passionate professionals in instructional design, LMS, and learning support. You won’t just use eLearning tools—you’ll bring ideas to life, transforming complex concepts into captivating digital experiences that empower learners and propel professional growth.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Create eLearning content and courses that support technical training programs using the principles of instructional design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver projects that meet partner preferences
  • Coordinate technical training projects from conception to production, including leading small peer project teams and collaborating as part of a team
  • Stay current on innovations in instructional design, adult education, and learning tech for engaging training

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma with a preference for bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or Educational Technology
  • 1 year of experience using Storyline, or similar software, for crafting interactive courses
  • 2 years of experience using Adobe Suite to create engaging visuals
  • Strong written communication skills for creating clear and engaging instructional material

Management Conductor Program

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
