PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Treasury Manager will play a key role in supporting CPKC’s treasury operations. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the CPKC Finance Team to support CPKC’s business needs, including managing and optimizing liquidity, banking and payment operations, corporate finance and capital markets initiatives.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead a team of 2-3 finance professionals in driving the execution of CPKC’s strategic plan
- Oversee day to day cash management activities including cash forecasting and payment operations
- Oversee FX, commercial paper and money market trades to manage short and long term liquidity needs
- Manage relationships with financial institutions to optimize banking operations
- Monitor and ensure compliance with debt covenants and reporting requirements
- Provide guidance on capital allocation decisions including dividend and share repurchase programs
- Support preparation of rating agency models and presentation materials
- Prepare quarterly reporting deliverables with speed and precision
- Drive process improvements to control costs, optimize assets, and minimize risks
- Ensure compliance with SOX and Internal Controls
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-10 years of total work experience within treasury, banking, financial planning, corporate finance, accounting, and cash management
- Min. 2 years of leadership experience
- Undergrad degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related field
- One or more of the following an asset: CFA, CTP, MBA, CA, CMA
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to financial safety
- Excellent excel and financial modelling skills

Management Conductor Program:
