<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The SAP Functional Specialist is accountable for gathering, understanding, documenting business processes, and the requirements and specifications needed to recommend and implement solutions based on SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) and SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) that will enable the organization to achieve its goals. They will also support these and other applications as required to meet organization goals.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Participate in the Development and Support of SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) and SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM);
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Apply a variety of techniques to elicit and gather business and user requirements from stakeholders;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Understand business issues and opportunities. Analyze and define both the “As Is” and “To Be” business processes and perform gap analysis;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Coordinate diverse groups who contribute to business requirements and build consensus for requirements across the various user groups;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Identify assumptions, constraints, and anticipate and manage risks;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Perform requirements analysis and develop prototype solutions to demonstrate SAP capabilities to the business and enable adoption;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Develop functional specifications and perform functional configuration (SPRO);
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Perform data analysis to understand how data impacts solutions;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Participate in the development and maintenance of custom built functionality and interfaces for SAP Applications and work with developers in this area;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Participate in daily production checks and operations process required for ensuring any incidents are avoided or detected in time on SAP applications;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Participate in an on call rotation to support 24x7 operations;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Lead troubleshooting of incidents or defects that arise in SAP applications and ensure a timely resolution. Ensure that all stakeholders are updated on progress as well;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Develop diagrams and models (use case, activity diagram, business process models, etc.) and clearly document functional requirements and business rules to describe what the system, process, or product/service must do in order to fulfill the business and user requirements;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Define the requirements needed to transition from an existing solution to a new solution;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Complete application service requests, provide continual business application support, research transactional issues, identify root causes as well as assist with upgrade and maintenance of applications;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Communicate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems to technical teams designing and implementing the solution. Assist with creating user guides and training;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Support the development of the test strategy and test plans.  Ensure traceability of requirements back to business need as well as through to solution and testing.  Validate the solution meets the business need and verify it conforms to specifications.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, Commerce/Business Administration or equivalent practical experience;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Minimum 2-3 years SAP implementation experience - ideally 2 full project lifecycles with TM, CRM or SD, with a focus on logistics;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong familiarity with SAP implementation methodologies;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong configuration skills performing requirements analysis and then SPRO configuration;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Technical SAP Experience an asset, specifically experience with the following SAP technical frameworks: BOPF, FPM, FBI, BRF+, CRM one order framework, AET;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">SAP Transportation Management experience, specifically in the area of Transportation Charge Management is an asset;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">SAP Customer Relationship Management experience is an asset;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience designing and configuring key integration points between SAP modules including experience with SAP PO;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience implementing SAP Solutions at a logistics or transportation division is an asset;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Appreciation and understanding of how to deal with different cultural values and sensitivities and how to work in a virtual work environment;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Team player, skilled in working in a highly collaborative manner;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to manage client expectations and negotiate win-win solutions.
