PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Join CPKC’s Internal Audit team as a Senior Auditor and play a pivotal role in strengthening risk management across the organization. You’ll lead high-impact audits independently and with minimal guidance, deliver insights to senior leadership, and support practice matters such as Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) and periodic reporting to the Audit and Finance Committee. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Plan and lead Lead audits from planning to reporting, aligned with IIA standards and Internal Audit Manual
  • Use data analytics to uncover insights and drive efficiency
  • Communicate audit results present findings and recommendations to management leadership
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the complex systems
  • Support executing QAIP and quarterly reporting to the Audit and Finance Committee
  • Contribute to the annual audit plan and advisory projects
  • Build deep knowledge of CPKC’s operations and the rail industry

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
  • Professional designation such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or equivalent combination of education and work experience, is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of audit experience

Management Conductor Program

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
