PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As a Specialist, Service Fulfillment, you will work along other members of the team to provision access for all CPKC employees and contractors throughout their access lifecycle required to support CPKC business operations within set policies ensuring the safety and security of CPKC assets.  You will deliver an exceptional level of customer service, providing guidance and support to all internal customers requiring direction or assistance regarding access requests and approvals. 

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Self-manage daily tasks in assigned access provisioning queues adhering to determined SLA’s
  • Support the interaction between tools such as Active Directory, ISIM, Service Now, Service Manager and their purpose within Identity Management
  • Work in constant communication with other team members to ensure process workflows remain intact
  • Ensure all internal process documentation is kept up to date and current
  • To respond to any and all internal and external audit inquiries, providing required evidence in a timely matter in order to maintain compliance with associated controls
  • Understand Identity Management best practices and workflows 
  • Have a high level of comprehension of how Active Directory functions and the concepts of how domains operate
  • Adhere to best practices and processes associated with other IS support teams and stakeholders ensuring deployment of access is secure and timely
  • Assist in maintaining team inbox on a daily basis and respond to all inquiries and/or escalations and handle accordingly
  • Troubleshoot all assigned incidents and ensure timely matter of resolution
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and initiate process improvement suggestions that retain adherence to Security policies
  • Develop and foster relationships within IS and CPKC operational business teams ensuring quality assurance is maintained
  • Participate and provide guidance to other IS support teams in project planning phases

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, Commerce/Business Administration or equivalent practical experience
  • On-call requirement on weekly basis rotating among team members
  • 3-5 years’ experience working within Active Directory and a strong understanding of its structure
  • 3-5 years’ experience  of Identity and Access Management fundamentals is preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, organizational, prioritization skills are necessary
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members is required
  • Flexibility and adaptability as well as proven self-motivation and interpersonal skills are necessary
  • Must be able to cope under pressure and be well organized with strong attention to detail

Management Conductor Program:

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
