The Specialist Functional Analyst is accountable for gathering, understanding and documenting business processes, and the requirements and specifications needed to recommend and implement an SAP HCM solution that will enable the organization to achieve its goals.
The Specialist Functional Analyst will need to have strong SAP functional analysis experience in HCM to cover Time (PT) with a working knowledge of Personal Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Payroll (PY) and SAP project systems
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Create and execute a work plan for business analysis activities in the areas of SAP Time
- Coordinate diverse groups who contribute to business requirements and build consensus for requirements across the various user groups
- Perform requirements analysis to develop models, prioritize, organize, validate and verify requirements
- Complete application service requests, provide continual business application support, research transactional issues, identify root causes as well as assist with upgrade and maintenance of applications
- Communicate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems to technical teams designing and implementing the solution. Assist with creating user guides and training
- Support the development of the test strategy and test plans. Ensure traceability of requirements back to business need as well as through to solution and testing. Validate the solution meets the business need and verify it conforms to specifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, Commerce/Business Administration or relevant practical experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring SAP Time module
- Good understanding of SAP module(s) and the integration between various modules
- 3+ years of practical experience with using a wide variety of techniques to elicit requirements (i.e. Research, Verbal protocols, Focus groups, Brainstorming, Interviews, Questionnaires, Prototyping, etc.) and in using a variety of models/diagrams/documents to capture, document and interpret requirements
- Working knowledge of SuccessFactors based / collaborating Time and Attendance applications is an asset
- Good understanding of SAP Payroll is an asset
- Fundamental knowledge of railway operations and processes an asset

Management Conductor Program:
