PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Supervisor Structures plays a key leadership role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of bridge infrastructure. Reporting to the Manager Bridge Maintenance (MBM), this position oversees bridge inspection, maintenance, and construction activities while driving excellence in safety, service delivery, operational performance, and cost management. The successful candidate provides hands-on leadership, ensures regulatory and company compliance, and supports the long-term integrity and performance of critical rail assets.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Accountable for the management of bridge maintenance and construction projects as assigned by Manager Bridge Maintenance
- Directly manages and accountable for all work executed as assigned by Manager Bridge Maintenance
- Ensure safety and compliance for CP and crews by implementation of safety practices and efficiency testing for internal crews and contractors
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, third parties and other CP departments to ensure execution of bridge work
- Coordinate the material orders for construction projects ensuring adequate lead time based on planned schedules
- Plan work schedules for CP bridge maintenance construction crews and forecast plan/demand for supplemental contract crews based on capital work load
- Plan bridge maintenance and construction work to ensure the quantity and duration of primary blocks meet operations requirements and coordinated with Track production work
- Complete 21 day plan for bridge project blocks and work directly with MOC to reduce delayed and canceled blocks
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or general equivalency
- Valid driver’s license
- Engineering-related post-secondary education preferred
- 5+ years of bridge inspection, maintenance, or construction experience
- Railway experience and CROR qualification preferred
- Strong knowledge of bridge structures, inspections, construction, and safety practices
- Proven project management, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to work at heights and operate with Bridge Inspection Vehicles (BIV)
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities in routine and emergency situations
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder influence skills across all organizational levels.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Management Conductor Program
