PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As a Coordinator Facilities, you will ensure seamless operations by managing building maintenance, coordinating contractor compliance, and resolving facility issues. Your role will improve workflows, enhance safety, and maintain a welcoming, efficient environment. Through problem-solving and operational expertise, you’ll support the infrastructure that drives our success.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage routine building and equipment maintenance (HVAC, fire systems) while tracking and remediating building and office space deficiencies, ensuring timely resolutions and compliance with CPKC safety requirements
  • Ensure timely updates and maintenance of scorecard metrics and Key Performance Index (KPI) related to facilities management (contractor compliance, safety adherence, work request resolution, invoice processing), while analyzing data from walkthroughs and reports to recommend and implement improvements
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with Erailsafe, ISNetworld (ISN), and Ebix APS (EBIX) requirements, provide compliance reporting, and ensure adherence to contractor-related obligations within specified timelines
  • Verify, process, and ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, maintaining proper documentation and ensuring adherence to organizational processing deadlines
  • Assist with day-to-day facility requests (equipment breakdowns, courier service disruptions, supply shortages) and oversee office logistics, including meeting room booking, furniture requests/moves, and parking pass and phone database management
  • Track and resolve courier service-related concerns (mail, paper ordering) by collaborating with mailroom teams and third-party providers while overseeing account management for Pitney Bowes and UPS in the U.S. region
  • Facilitate site operational needs such as issuing visitor security cards, managing parking passes, and ensuring smooth interactions with internal security and maintenance teams for visitor logistics and building concerns
  • Identify and implement enhancements to maintenance workflows, contractor management, office operations, and procurement processes to optimize efficiency, reduce delays, and ensure consistent adherence to safety and operational standards

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency
  • Project work showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve complex issues, focusing on root cause analysis, with a preference for similar professional work experience
  • Proficiency in using Windows systems and preferably experience using SAP or similar enterprise platforms

Management Conductor Program

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
