PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
We’re seeking a proactive and safety-focused Supervisor of Intermodal and Automotive Operations to lead terminal activities and ensure the smooth movement of trains and equipment. This role is key to coordinating yard operations, managing crews, and driving operational efficiency across intermodal and automotive services.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Oversee daily yard operations and train movements
- Coordinate inbound/outbound train planning and crew logistics
- Ensure safety compliance and respond to incidents effectively
- Communicate across departments to align operational priorities
- Manage equipment inspections, inventory accuracy, and vehicle maintenance
- Support leadership with performance updates and operational insights
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or general equivalent
- Experience in intermodal operations or similar fields would be considered an asset
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with OASIS, TYES, Nexus would be considered an asset
- Understanding of collective agreements
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Medical and Drug Testing
This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company drug test is required. Post hire qualification drug testing may also be required.
