PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Lead-to-Cash (L2C) Business Systems Analyst is responsible in gathering requirements, user acceptance testing of L2C applications, producing complex reporting, and driving resolution to business production issues to make our L2C and supporting systems and technology better. As experience is gained, assignments will become more varied and complex and the level of independent action will increase within the established guidelines. In this role, you will engage and collaborate with Sales and Marketing, Rating and Publications, EB Support, Customer Service, Customer Billing, Accounts Receivable and IS teams to identify opportunities to utilize technology to enable streamlined processes by acknowledging and understanding people, process and technology. The role supports various L2C systems within CPKC including but not limited to SAP TM, SAP ECC, SAP CRM, SAP S/4, Salesforce, Customer Portal and legacy finance and order management applications. This position will require providing service, building and maintaining relationships with the business and functioning as a team player.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provides business support for all L2C systems including SAP ECC FICA, SAP TM, SAP S/4 Customer Portal and legacy finance and order management systems acting as go-to subject matter expert
  • Gather requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, design thinking, task and workflow analysis
  • Reviews and analyzes system problems to identify solutions or workaround recommendations. Serves as liaison between the business and the IT support team to interpret and clarify the business needs/issues for resolution
  • Work with business teams to understand and evaluate business processes for optimization and provides advice on solution or enhancement opportunities
  • Perform/Assists in User-Acceptance Testing and Support for incidents, enhancements, system upgrades, and Projects
  • System requirement identification and documentation analysis
  • Communicates complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Builds knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers; Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures; Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
  • Identify continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyze requests from stakeholders and determine feasibility and impacts to existing software solutions and business process
  • Leverages best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services; Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions; Works independently; receives minimal guidance
  • Creates knowledge and process documentation related to L2C systems and processes unless otherwise part of the project where OCM can provide documentation
  • Supports SOX and management controls review
  • Generate reports and Identifying opportunities to automate the report generation process, streamline data collection, and improve efficiency

 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • Experience with SAP ECC FICA, SAP TM, SAP S/4 Customer Portal and legacy finance and order management systems
  • Experience within the rail industry transportation.
  • Experience working along side L2C stakeholders regarding process, procedure and polciy development or creation.
  • Experience with process mapping and project management methodology.

Management Conductor Program:

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer
