PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

 

As the Enterprise Architect, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing Integration solution design, ensuring all solutions constructed and/or acquired comply with integration architecture standards and directions. Guide Integration delivery project delivery team so that their deliverables support the solutions and move towards the desired end state. Identify gaps, interdependencies, and opportunities to improve the quality in the desired solution end state.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead Integration assessment, design, and development of an overall Integration project solution architecture based on business requirements, functional requirements, and Enterprise Integration Architecture standards & guidelines.
  • Create and maintain high-level Integration architecture artifacts timely for projects in compliance with the solution review/approval process and CPKC IS gating methodology.
  • Analyze cross-functional Integration solution implications and dependencies for assigned projects and recommend appropriate Integration solutions for detailed design works or exceptions that balance business risks.
  • Ensure detailed design artifacts produced by projects are consistent with the defined high-level solution architecture while artifacts produced correspond to the CPKC enterprise architecture standards.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of enterprise Integration architecture strategies and seek ways to apply emerging technologies to assist CPKC in achieving its business goals and strategies.
  • Coordinate with Solution architects or delivery leads and apply a set of solutions guidelines to deliver the overall project solution architecture in desired ways.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years of software architecture and integration experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in defining integration architecture / creating solutions / implementation of integration services using Dell Boomi
  • Experience in defining, developing, and executing application integration and understanding the interdependencies and interactions between subsystems. ( 7 plus)
  • Experience in the investigation, recommendations, and resolution of integration challenges. . (7 plus)
  • Provide expertise in overall enterprise application integration. . (10 plus)
  • Provide leadership to architect on enterprise integration layer working with IT projects. . (7 plus)
  • Identify and optimization integration architecture design . (7 plus)
  • Work collaboratively with other enterprise architects and IS solution architects. . (7 plus)
  • Have a good understanding of large enterprise IT environments. . (7 plus).
  • Have a deep understanding of enterprise application integration technologies such as EDI, FTP, EAI, ESB, Integration Platform, API layer management, Databases, IBM MQ Series or other Queue systems and integration architecture. . (10 plus).

 

NICE TO HAVE

  • Have a good understanding of large enterprise IT environments In the best case you have worked with railway/transportation applications

Management Conductor Program:

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
