POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- This position will provide training on how to call Trainmen, Switchmen, Engineers, and Yardmasters to work in accordance with proper labor agreements;
- Maintain computerized crew board, making necessary data entries regarding seniority moves, vacancies, personal leave, vacations, etc.;
- Process necessary reports and other duties as assigned;
- This position is not a typical 40 hour-a-week opportunity. The position must be available for call 24 hours per day and able to work irregular hours, with holiday and weekend work included.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- PRIOR RAILROAD EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED WE OFFER A PAID TRAINING PROGRAM
- Knowledge of computer programs and software (Microsoft Office);
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment;
- Must have clear verbal and written communication skills;
- Must pay attention to details and manage time effectively;
- Must be able to work any of 3 shifts On-Call, holidays and weekends included;
- May work various shifts all within the same week with no established schedule as to shift – the schedule will change daily based on the needs of the operation;
- Employees will be assigned to positions after completing the training program;
- Must meet keyboarding standards established by the organization.
