PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The coordinator is responsible for managing day-to-day interactions with key passenger accounts in the east and for supporting operational oversight and planning, contract development, stakeholder engagement with third party passenger service providers.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Serve as the primary liaison for passenger service providers operating on CPKC’s network.
- Responsible for tracking passenger performance metrics, documenting and resolving performance and safety incidents
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations by both parties, and advising on performance and efficiency improvements
- Track special movement requests and other billable passenger services and ensure timely and accurate billing
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop capital plans for railway plant maintenance
- Assist in operational planning and project oversight
- Attend cross functional meetings and work directly with internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement cost -recovery initiatives
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 3 years' experience in freight or commuter railway operations or other transportation logistics
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Contract negotiation, account management, or other external facing roles
- SAP, accounting software or basic AI (Artificial Intelligence) prompting

Management Conductor Program
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
