PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

This position is responsible for ensuring the safe coordination and execution of CPKC’s inventory control objectives, with a focus on securing and accurately managing inventoried materials. Key responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of inventory control, such as the shipping and receiving of materials for the car, locomotive, and engineering departments, as well as general railroad-related materials.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Process core materials
• Process warranty materials
• Receive, open, inspect, and stock shipments
• Fulfill and deliver parts orders
• Organize and maintain parts and materials
• Account for the receipt, delivery, and disposition of materials using the designated electronic system
• Inventory storeroom materials management
• Prepare shipments and load outgoing materials
• Lead cycle counting
• Dust, sweep, and other cleaning activities
• Document the delivery of goods using good receipt/invoice receipt (GR/IR)
• Other duties as assigned by the manager

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or general equivalency
• Minimum 2 years warehouse experience, including forklift experience
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to lift to 100lbs
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• SAP experience is preferred
