PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Mechanical Foreman Locomotive is responsible for supervising employees in Locomotive mechanical crafts.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Plan and manage employees performing locomotive maintenance
• Set expectations and accountability to employees
• Manage shop or service island as required
• Ensure quality of work performed by all crafts

POSITION REQUIRMENTS:

• Applicant must have mechanical and electrical background;
• Must be familiar with FRA Rules and Regulations and be able to prepare and properly fill out all forms required for the operation of Diesel Locomotives;
• Will supervise locomotive mechanical crafts.
• Have knowledge of Locomotive Department procedures including reports
• Ability to instruct crafts in all aspects of locomotive repairs
• Computer skills, including but not limited to Outlook, Web Mail, Excel, Word, SAP, LMUI, LMP, ESS/MS, TYES, NEXUS/YARD PLANNER
• Must be available to fill vacancies for the position as required
• Strong leadership skills is an asset
• Must be Locomotive qualified inspector, STOP & Track mobile certified. Qualifications and seniority to govern

Medical Requirements:
