NEW HIRE LICENSED JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIANS WILL RECEIVE A $10,00 SIGNING BONUS!! (Must commit to working for CP for 2 years or the signing bonus will be repayable). Current and previous Canadian Pacific employees are not eligible to receive the signing bonus. 

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Electrical repair and maintenance of diesel locomotives;
  • Electrical modifications/upgrades to locomotive systems;
  • Diagnostic trouble shooting with onboard computer systems/laptops;
  • Will be responsible for other duties as assigned in compliance with FRA Rules and Safety Regulations.

     

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required;
  • Must be a certified Journeyman Electrician with related electrical experience;
  • Diesel electrical experience is preferred. However, electrical experience or training with other types of machinery/truck or automotive electrical repairs and upgrades to systems is considered;
  • Ability to follow Electrical Schematics is a definite asset;
  • Must be safety oriented and comply with safety rules and regulations;
  • Must be willing to work shifts, 24/7 seniority based operation;
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
