POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Electrical repair and maintenance of diesel locomotives;
- Electrical modifications/upgrades to locomotive systems;
- Diagnostic trouble shooting with onboard computer systems/laptops;
- Will be responsible for other duties as assigned in compliance with FRA Rules and Safety Regulations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Diesel electrical experience preferred. However, electrical experience or training with other types of machinery/truck or automotive electrical repairs and upgrades to systems is considered;
- Able to follow Electrical Schematic is a definite asset;
- Journeyman preferred, but will consider applicants with related electrical experience;
- Must be safety oriented and comply with safety rules and regulations;
- Must be willing to work shifts, 24/7 seniority based operation;
- Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions;
- High school diploma or GED required.
