POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Electrical repair and maintenance of diesel locomotives;
  • Electrical modifications/upgrades to locomotive systems;
  • Diagnostic trouble shooting with onboard computer systems/laptops;
  • Will be responsible for other duties as assigned in compliance with FRA Rules and Safety Regulations.

     

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diesel electrical experience preferred. However, electrical experience or training with other types of machinery/truck or automotive electrical repairs and upgrades to systems is considered;
  • Able to follow Electrical Schematic is a definite asset;
  • Journeyman preferred, but will consider applicants with related electrical experience;
  • Must be safety oriented and comply with safety rules and regulations;
  • Must be willing to work shifts, 24/7 seniority based operation;
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions;
  • High school diploma or GED required.
