The Accounts Payable (AP) analyst ensures precision and integrity in AP and Master Data operations, mitigating risks and driving efficiency. This role participates in impactful projects, brings to bear technology and data insights, and advances automation while upholding industry standards. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Complete detailed reviews and implement controls for AP and Vendor Master Data (VMD), ensuring operational accuracy and risk mitigation
- Generate and deliver detailed reports on AP and VMD activities while maintaining data in systems such as Ariba and SAP ECC to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly account reconciliations in compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Promote understanding and consistent execution of processes and controls by all team members, ensuring adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements and the organization's Internal Control Framework
- Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve operational challenges to sustain service continuity and mitigate risks effectively
- Lead process efficiency initiatives, foster continuous improvement projects, and promote automation to improve workflows and drive organizational progress
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, with foundational experience or training in SAP systems
- 3 + years of experience performing and reviewing accounting internal controls, including hands-on expertise with SAP, with preference for experience with SAP VIM and Ariba

Management Conductor Program
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
