PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
This position focuses on accurately entering contractual and tariff information into revenue systems and seeks out process improvements for greater efficiency. It involves auditing data for accuracy under SOX and Management controls, overseeing billing system operations, and resolving billing issues by developing solutions and collaborating with system design teams on enhancements. Responsibilities include managing moderately complex problems, leading small-scale projects and parts of larger ones, offering guidance to less experienced team members, and supporting department goals. Guidance is provided, though the role demands a degree of independent problem-solving.
This position is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba or Kansas City, Missouri.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for the publication of contract and tariff rates across CPKC systems in the US, MX, and CAN, ensuring compliance with various policies including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
- Daily management of rating errors, processing corrections to resolve disputes and claims with the help of Revenue Accounting and Collections teams, and driving root cause analyses for billing issues
- The position also involves reporting revenue adjustments, coordinating with Sales & Marketing on rate publications, and handling surcharge updates
- Additional duties include assisting Market Managers and Interline Settlement personnel, maintaining communication with key departments for comprehensive revenue recognition, managing worklists and disputes, focusing on process improvement, and ensuring revenue accuracy and timeliness

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a field related to the job, and at least two years of relevant experience
- Must be highly analytical, detail-oriented, skilled in problem-solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP
- Proven experience in railroad transportation; an asset
- Bilingual in English and Spanish; an asset
- The role offers a full-time schedule, typically Monday through Friday, with the possibility of occasional after-hours or weekend work

Management Conductor Program:
