PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Coordinator Local Service and Inventory Accuracy to play a pivotal role in our operations support team. This multifaceted position is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of local operations, support coordination for mobile inventory reporting devices, precise inventory reporting and waybilling functions, as well as handling various transactional duties as needed. The ideal candidate will ensure operational efficacy, maintain accurate inventory records and contribute to the smooth execution of local assignments and customer shipments. This position will be based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop, plan, and implement Local Service Operating strategies, ensuring flawless execution of customer traffic and local operations coordination
- Offer round-the-clock systems support, addressing system issues and providing vital training and mentoring on application and system use
- Conduct thorough inventory audits for designated local assignments, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with inventory management protocols
- Facilitate waybilling functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of waybills and other essential documentation for operational efficiency
- Maintain up-to-date service exception logs across Canada, U.S. & Mexico, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or issues for immediate resolution
- Generate and analyze performance scorecards, publishing Industry Service Summary reports based on collected data to evaluate service delivery against customer expectations
- Collaborate closely with trainmasters, issuing detailed work orders to crews and providing immediate feedback and recommendations for improvements in execution to management
- Perform additional transactional work and duties as the need arises, ensuring comprehensive support across all operational areas
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Post-secondary education is preferred; proven experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field is highly beneficial
- Strong analytical skills complemented by outstanding interpersonal capabilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with proven problem-solving abilities
- Proven flexibility and adaptability in a multifaceted, 24/7/365 operational environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Outlook, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and systems

Management Conductor Program
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
