PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Receives, warehouses, issues or ships supplies and material used in the operation of the railroad. Ensures or performs accurate and timely information in SAP electronically through the use of a computer and Coordinates picking and shipping of all material to customer locations in accordance with shipping schedules

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Receive, issue, and manage materials manually or electronically, including bin location updates and stock counts.
• Verify and document incoming shipments from suppliers and internal sources.
• Prepare and rack materials for shipment, completing all necessary documentation.
• Load/unload materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring secure transport.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report hazards promptly.
• Comply with WHMIS and TDG regulations during material handling.
• Maintain accurate records and update forms manually or electronically.
• Keep work areas clean and hazard-free at all times.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience; material handling equipment experience preferred
• Proficient in SAP, Excel, and MERLIN inventory systems
• Flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Medical and Drug Testing 

This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company drug test is required. Post hire qualification drug testing may also be required.
