PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

As Supervisor, Border Operations you will support the timely and accurate execution of CP’s 7x24-crossborder mission to deliver error free crossborder transportation to our internal and external partners.  As a knowledge resource, you will provide guidance and support to non-union and union Border Operations employees, work to permanently resolve systemic issues, and create and sustain an empowered engaged workforce that conducts its activities in accordance with CP’s Core Competencies and Consequence Leadership methodology.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide guidance and support to non-union and union Border Operations, including acting as a resource for processes and systems required to perform functions;
  • Assist in objective setting and consequence leadership engagement for the  Border Operations Team;
  • Responsible for improving the quality of work produced by the Border Operations Team, including the resolution of systemic problems, identification of non-essential activities, and continued metrics and production standard development and communication;  
  • Drill down analysis of staff, process, or technical issues;
  • Drive on-going RPA monitoring, and usage, including identification of enhancement needs;    
  • Ensure supplemental charges are assessed and accurate with on-going process improvement;
  • Resolve and/or escalating as appropriate, issues associated with Border Operations Services;
  • Address workforce errors/issues appropriately and immediately;
  • Work with Administration/Staffing to ensure adequate coverage;
  • Identify and implement process improvements;
  • Identify gaps in training/knowledge advising Manager;
  • Ensures compliance with collective bargaining agreements and CP policies.

Management Conductor Program:
