PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Project Coordinator provides the operational backbone of the program and projects by tracking schedules, RAID items, reporting, documentation, and cross‑bXteam alignment activities that support the Program Lead (PL) and Project Managers. PMO Coordinator runs and document weekly reviews, maintains program logs and metrics, manages and tracks action items, prepares and manages project financials along with Project Manager and Program lead, prepare reporting, and ensures consistent workflow across business, IS, and delivery teams.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Create Project artifacts (delivery checklist, Status reports, updating tools, collecting evidence, filing other PMO documentation)
- Organize and facilitate weekly program reviews with each Business Team, IS Supporting Team, and Delivery Team, ensuring alignment and consistent communication across all workstreams. This includes preparing agendas, managing attendance, documenting discussions, and tracking follow‑up actions.
- PMO Coordinators manage key program artifacts, including the resource plan, program‑level plan, milestone plan, business readiness and stabilization metrics, and weekly/monthly dashboards.
- work with delivery teams to ensure plans stay updated and reflect real‑time progress, dependencies, and constraints. PMO enforces consistency in artifacts such as key design decisions, impact assessments, and readiness documentation.
- Create forecasting for projects and accruals.
- Track and follow up on the monthly time entry and run variance reports and actions to meet target
- Organize project meetings, collect minutes and keep track of action items
- Assist PM and Program managers with Issue, Action, Risk and Decision tracker creation & maintenance. They ensure mitigation plans and owners are documented, track progress through weekly checkpoints, and escalate unresolved items to PM/PL.
- Support Resource onboarding & Offboarding requests, coordination of access requests
- Work with contracting team for project contract requests and Purchase orders
- Assist in Stage gate and Quality gating coordination, materials and signoff
- Managing project repository and ensuring it is up-to-date
- Preparation of Project documents such as Kick off materials, Project closure documentations
- Maintaining SAP PS (Network, PO, Time report, Actuals, Project builder etc.)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree or equivalent in Commerce/Business Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science
- 6+ years of experience with managing Project Financials and reporting. Proven track record of Project coordinator roles in IT projects and programming.
- Advanced Excel, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft project are mandatory
- Conversant with Project coordinator activities and proficient with Project tools, templates and methodologies
- Relevant experience with SAP projects financials is required
- Experienced with PPM tools, PowerBI, and SAP or equivalent ERP systems
- PMO and ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) experience is an asset

Management Conductor Program
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
